The Golden Roof:
consists of handmade, snow-white porcelain tiles, to which an additional glass glaze has been fired.
The roof-tiles have been vaporized with the precious metal zirconium in a very complex process at
300 ° C under vacuum. The result of this process is a very long lasting glass glaze.
Zirconium has similar qualities to gold. Unaffected by weather and even acids, it retains its golden
glow over many decades.
